AIAA has been a big part of Ayden's university life and has helped him achieve many of his professional goals. As the president of the student chapter, he leads in fostering an environment that promotes a passion for aerospace and engineering in a professional manner for students. Ayden also functions as head of club leadership in determining and achieving club goals. His internships with Northrop Grumman have let him work on awesome
projects like the F-35 Lightning II, Global Hawk, and Triton.
Michael is a Junior studying Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. In addition to AIAA, he is an ambassador for the UofA College of Engineering. The past summer, Michael had an internship with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. He is currently working on his private pilot's license.
Phil is a senior Aerospace Engineering major. He has been a member of UA AIAA for 3 years now, specializing in Beta Flyer and aircraft. Over the summer, he worked with Dr. Hermann Fasel on the X-56A program on behalf of the US Air Force.
Zach is a senior in Aerospace Engineering from Hughson, California. This summer he held a research internship with Dr. Little at the U of A and was responsible for data processing and running wind tunnel experiments. He enjoys outdoor activities including fishing and shooting sports.
Brianna is a senior in Aerospace Engineering. This last year she has been working in an ultra-high temperature ceramics laboratory researching the effects that a high temperature, high heat flux, highly oxidizing environment has on materials being studied for applications with re-entry vehicles. Brianna has been involved in AIAA since her freshman year at the U of A, and says that it is a great way to learn useful information out of the classroom!
Hayden Spoelstra moved from Olivet Michigan to study Engineering at the University of
Arizona. He is majoring in Engineering Management while minoring in both Aerospace
Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. When Hayden’s not studying he’s usually working for
a Prototyping Machine Shop. He is currently modeling and making a Sterling Engine
when he has free time between jobs. On the weekends you can find him at the local RC track racing his cars (mostly fixing them) or at the flying field flying his RC planes.
Trey is a Junior Aerospace Engineering major from Sierra Vista, Arizona. He has been involved in AIAA beta flyer projects for the past two years and is a College of Engineering ambassador. He has worked as a lifeguard for the past four years.
Marcos De Rose is a senior in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in mathematics. This past summer he interned at NASA Langley research center as a structural dynamics intern. He is also a senior member in engineering ambassadors as well as a mentor for NASA space grant.
Jake Williams is a junior Mechanical Engineering major. He Interned at Raytheon Missile Systems for the past two years as part of the Systems Test Directorate.
Timothy Morris is a senior in Aerospace Engineering. Having been around
aviation his entire life, he joined the USAF where he has worked on the
A-10 Warthog’s engines for 3 years and still continues to do so as a
reservist. This last summer, he has enjoyed an internship with
Honeywell, where he got to play around in an M1 Abram. Tim joined the
DBF team his junior year and instantly fell in love with it. He is now
its Chief Engineer and is actively encouraging others to join and
eventually make it their senior project.
